FORWARD
The Japan Butterfly Conservation Society is conserving the nature in which endangered butterflies inhabit nationwide. At the same time, members enjoy butterflies in various ways in their daily lifes.Every year, we bring in the photos we took and hold a photo exhibition in Tokyo, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection from last year, we have made the venue of the photo exhibition on website.
The equipment and technology of nature photography are advancing steadily, and many excellent photographs are being produced. On the other hand, an increasing number of people are casually taking pictures of the beauty and seasonal feelings they see in their daily lives with compact digital cameras and smartphones.
We hope that this photo exhibition will continue as a place for people who like butterflies to interact with each other, not only from the perspective of photography technology and beauty, but also by showing off one photo taken casually.
Currently, many butterflies are on the verge of extinction even in Japan. We hope that you will be interested in the nature around you and the efforts to protect it through butterflies.
